If you are an individual and your home insurance meets the requirements, the discount will automatically be applied to next year's property tax. For example, if you insured your home in 2024 for more than 3 months, the property tax that you will pay in 2025 for that home will be reduced. If your insurance does not qualify, you can choose one of Hellas Direct's home insurance plans.
Copy linkThe insurance should cover 100% of the value of the house, which should be at least €1000/sqm.
When we say house value we mean the reconstruction value of the house, not counting the value of the land. For the calculation of the discount the taxable square metres will be used, evidenced by the property register and the E9.
The insurance must be valid for at least 3 months and include earthquake, fire and flood coverages.
If the duration of the home insurance is less than 1 year, the property tax discount will be adjusted proportionally.
